What we do, and why
VietID z.s. is a non-profit association registered in Prague. We work with young people of Vietnamese descent in the Czech Republic and across Europe.
The problem we see
Many young Vietnamese who grew up in Czechia speak Czech like native speakers, yet struggle to have a real conversation with their own parents. One set of rules applies at home, another outside. That distance is not a quarrel between two people; it is two cultures living under one roof.
At the same time the community holds many people who already walked that path — but their experience rarely reaches the next generation, because nobody has been joining the two ends.
How we work
Four programmes running all year, all built on one principle: meet in person, do real work, measure the result.
How the association runs
VietID is a registered association under Czech law. It runs on volunteers and community donations; income and spending are recorded and published periodically.
